[ANU Sailing Club] Bateman's Regatta - 26 and 27 April

 Hi Everyone  
 The Batemans Bay Regatta is going to take place on 26th and 27th of
April (the Anzac Day Weekend).   For those who aren't familiar with
the Regatta, it basically involves racing a variety of classes of
boats in four races on the Bay. The cost of entering the Regatta is
$50 per boat.    
 Let me know if you think you might be interested in coming to the
Regatta.  You don't need to be an experienced sailor to come,
although you do need to be experienced if you want to skipper a boat!
 You can come along and just have a relaxing weekend in the Bay. 
Also, people often end up looking for crew just before the start of
the race, so if you do come along there's a fairly high chance that
you'll get an opportunity to crew on someone's boat.   
 The plan at the moment is to head off either sometime on Friday, or
on Saturday morning, and then to camp at the Batemans Bay Beach
Resort.  The cost per person per night will be somewhere between $15
and $22 depending how many tents there are on each site.  We'll then
race on Saturday and have dinner with other racers on Saturday night
before racing again on Sunday.    
 As Cindy mentioned the uni is currently having some issues with
insurance so if these issues aren't sorted out before the Regatta, we
won't be able to take club boats and the trip may have to be
cancelled.     
 Assuming that won't happen, please let me know if you think you
might be interested in coming along and I'll keep you informed of any
updates.
