AGM Thursday the 6th of March 7pm at the club house
Come along and help elect the committee members for 2008. Positions
and what they entail are listed below. If you would like to be
considered please e-mail me (cindy.wills at rsc.anu.edu.au) with your
phone number and what position you would be interested in.
Commodore: Organises and presides over meetings, generally keeps
things in order so the club continues to run efficiently, which will
include helping any of the committee so they can fulfil there duties.
Someone who is familiar with the club would be best.
Captain of Boats: Assists the Commodore in the running of the club.
Supervise the use and maintenance of club equipment. Someone with a
good knowledge of boats would be best.
Secretary: Takes minutes at meetings. Helps compile the grant
application and the audit. Compiles membership lists for the SRA and
updates the mailing list.
Treasure: Keeps a correct account of all monies received and
expended. Helps compile the grant application and the audit
Vice Captain of Boats: Assists the Captain of boats in there duties.
Assistant Secretary: Assists the Secretary. Is responsible for the
collection of memberships.
Race officer: Organises racing with CYC and YMCA. Makes sure the club
house is open for racing.
Social Secretary: Organises any social events.
Training Officer: Organises training. Someone with a good knowledge
of sailing would be best.
Assistant training officer: Helps assist the Training officer.
Someone with a good knowledge of sailing would be best.
Club house officer: Supervises the use of the shed, including space
rental, key hire, and any maintenance. Someone who is on campus most
of the time would be best.
Assistant club house officer: Assists the Club house officer.
Power boat officer: Supervises the use and maintenance of the power
boat. This person would be required to get a power boat licence; the
club will pay for this.
Publicity Officer: Maintains the website, organises any publicity.
Only students can access the website for maintenance.
Windsurfing officer: Supervises the use and maintenance of the
windsurfers. Organises Windsurfing training. Someone with a good
knowledge of windsurfers would be best.
General Member: Assists all members of the committee as needed, this
would mean helping at market days, open days, maintenance day, and
training. General members will not be elected till all other
positions are filled

Section 8a
From - The Committee shall consist of a Commodore, Captain of Boats,
Vice Captain of Boats, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer,
Race Secretary, Social Secretary, Club House Officer, Power Boat
Officer, Training Officer (boats), Training Officer (boards) and
Publicity Officer.
To- The Committee shall consist of a Commodore, Captain of Boats,
Vice Captain of Boats, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer,
Windsurfing officer, Race Secretary, Social Secretary, Club House
Officer, Assistant Club House Officer, Power Boat Officer, Training
Officer, Assistant Training officer, Publicity Officer and General
Members.
Section 8f
Add - No General members will be elected till all other positions of
the committee have been filled.
Section 13f
Add - To organise the club house to be open for all races.
Section 14b
Add - To maintain the web page.
Section 18e
Delete – Supervise the use and maintenance of the Club’s racing
equipment.
