Hi all,

This isfor those who are insterested in learning how to teach
sailing. Toassist with teach sailing you don't have to be the best
sailor and itwould be great to see new sailors from previous
beginners courses whoare keen to learn how to teach. Teaching is fun
and a great way toincrease your own skills while meeting the new
members of the club andwho knows you may even find a new crew for
racing!

The club hastraditionally expected a lot from its Training Officers
and people likeWim put in a lot of effort to run the courses.
Therefore the aim is totrain up a number of members who can assist
with teaching courses sothat the job of teaching can be more evenly
distributed.

I willbe running a 1 hour theory lesson to teach potential
instructors abouthow to teach sailing. I will be doing this at the
clubhouse from 6:30pmthis Wednesday 5th March. At the training course
session the next day(Thursday 6th March) you will have the opportunty
to put those skillsinto practice by assisting Wim with the current
training course. Bydoing a small ammount of theory and then a
practical session you willhave enough skills to fill in if required
by the club.

Pleaseemail me if you can attend this Wednesday (also email if you
can'tattend but are interested because there may be a second session).

Regards

Garrick
