[ANU Sailing Club] Events, shed access and season finishing party

G'day All,
 
As of the AGM we have a new committee with lots of new faces but plenty of experience from the old committee as well. I'm the new Commodore which I'm pleased to be and I'm looking forward to a good year ahead. 
 
Things are running pretty well around the place due to a lot of hard work that has been done in the last couple of years. Although we're only a small club a big feature I think is our level of participation. We don't have many inactive members and I think that's a really good thing.
 
Events, etc
 
YMCA this Saturday
I'll open the shed at 12.30 this Saturday for anyone who wants to join in with the YMCA races. They're pretty chilled out, $12 to enter and I'll be there to make sure you know what you're doing and give you a few tips. Please let me if you're planning to come.
 
Bateman's Bay Regatta
This is the traditional end-of-season regatta. Let me know if you're interested in attending. Experienced sailors can race lasers or tasars. Hopefully we can find some crew positions for newly completed beginners.
 
Shed Closing Social Race day and Party
We're planning this for Saturday 1 May. Amy is organising the party and there'll be more from her on that. I'm planning to organise some social races. Everyone who starts a race gets an entry in the draw for a prize - more on that to come.
