Hi sailors,
*Passed working bee.*
*
*
Thank you very much to those few people who turned up for the working bee
last weekend. Even with such a small number of bees we've done a great job.
Change rooms are now as clean as they've never been before (thanks Graham
and Kathy).
We cleaned the kitchen, prepared the entresol above the change rooms for
camping, swept the shed floor. Graham got lamp tubes to replace inside the
shed and bulbs for outside illumination, we just need to find a good high
ladder to reach the ceilings.
*Boat matters*
1. So far 4 lasers 2 tasars and mosquito cat are ready for the races.
They all have now unique sail numbers (please find attached pdf) and the rig
is checked except for Rear Ache (needs to be tested by Rehan), and
Clementine (to be checked by Frances). So far everyone who expressed their
interest to participate in the regatta is happy with the boat allocation
displayed in the attached pdf-file. Whoever wants to protest, please,
protest now for it has to be solved by the 20th of April - Early Bird
registration deadline.
2. Recherche laser is in a critical condition, mast step is worn out till
the very bottom. It's currently on the racks and it shouldn't be used in the
near future or at all (the council of boat specialists will decide what to
do).
3. We put Pumpkin back on a dolly but a sanding around her edges needs to be
done before use.
*4. People do not participating in the Regatta, please, avoid using Race I,
Race II, Clementine, Dundee, Greysar, if there are other boats available.
Let them go to the Regatta in the condition they are now. *
*Regatta registration.*
We'll discuss details tonight at the committee meeting and we'll let you to
know ASAP.
If more people want to join on that stage they should make their own
arrangements (prepare boats, check sail numbers, make sure that your sail
number is different to all the boats from the list, if someone causes
disqualifications because of not unique sail numbers he'll be punished
severely) from that point on I will do only urgent repairs (if they
required) for the boats which are currently in the list.
