[ANU Sailing Club] ANU Sailing Team for the Easter Regatta

Ahoy there sailors,
 
ANU Sailing Team Captain
On Monday the Club Committee appointed Andrew Welch Captain of the ANU Team for the Easter Australian Univerasity Fleet Racing Regatta hosted by us. There was stiff competition for the capatincy but Andrew's two recent second placings in local regattas tipped the balance in his favour. Vice-captain is Richard Blessington who many of you will know from the training sessions he has recently been organising for club members. Congratulations to you both.
 
Regatta Update
The Boat Shed has new toilet cisterns, sparkly clean floors and showers, a big stock of sausages, bread and sauce and new starting flags all ready for the regatta (thanks to the working beers last weekend). Social events have been organised for Sunday 24 April and Monday 25 April and all members are welcome. Come down, join in and get the t-shirt (drawn by Alex Minovich and orgainsed by Kathy Hicks). 
 
Allocation of boats to the ANU Team has been made but we have a few craft left for anyone who wants to join in. Even if you only want to do one day I'll try to make that happen (first come best dressed at this stage).
 
Anyone who wants to help with course setting, registration, BBQs and party organising contact me or social officer Kathy Hicks.
 
Keep an eye out for an email later in the week from Richard Blessington about a final training run.
