Ahoy there clubbies,
It's been a bit of week of easterlies with the intermediate course copping a 30km/h E wind change and lots of capsizing. Sadly I missed that, but on Wednesday another fantastic easterly came in and we had the Tasar absolutely flying along. A really fun hour out on the lake.
If anyone would like to commit to opening on another evening each week (Tuesday and Wednesday are covered), then I have one spare key that I can issue for that purpose. Let me know.
This weekend, the shed will be open on Saturday and Sunday, so come down for a bit of a sail if you feel like it.
Saturday
Easterlies are forecast - 10-20km/h. I'll be at the shed in the morning until about 4.30pm. There should be plenty of boats available. Alex and I will be doing some maintenance and would appreciate any assistance. If you'd like to learn how to fibreglass and do other maintenance jobs then email me back. Also the grass needs mowing (or whipper-snippering if you bring your own whipper-snipper - its only a small patch).
Sunday
Light winds are forecast (but hopefully that will change). The shed will be opened at 2pm for the intermediate course. All the lasers are spoken for but the w/s are available. Alternatively come down at about 5.45pm when the course will have finished with the boats. Anyone who would like to get powerboat practical experience, please feel free to come down. Plus there's bbqing and sitting in the sun enjoying the view, that needs doing.
Cheers,
Adam Leavesley
