Hi sailors,
There was an opinion that my proposal on the allocation of racing lasers was
unfair, and there should be another way to distribute the best boats such as
a "qualification race" or a ruffle. My proposal was based on the results of
a series of twilight races throughout this season and Wallagoot Regatta.
Sorry, if I offended other experienced sailors, I just didn't have a chance
to observe you in a race.
I leave it up to Jennie M. to lead further discussions on the matter of boat
distribution and the format of the qualification races. Once the format is
chosen I'll help with the organisation of the "qualifications".
So far only three people have expressed their interest to participate in the
Australian Uni Regatta, so at that point I don't see a problem with the
allocation of the boats, but I could be wrong as always I am.
I'm confirming to do a training session this Saturday at 13.00.
The "qualifications" could be set as a part of the session if you agree on
the format by this time.
I was wrong that this week is the last week of the twilight savings, there
is one more week when it's still possible to sail after work. So I might set
one more twilight on it's usual time, if there is an interest.

Sincerely,
Alex Minovich.
