March and 1 April.
4. Honeymoon Bay Coast Trip (Jervis Bay) - 30 March-1 April

*1. This Week at the Shed - Tuesday and Wednesday: 5pm*
The YMCASC Tuesday Twilights have finished for the year but we'll still be
out on the water making the most of the last week of late sunshine. From
next week on, it'll be a lot harder to get sailing done midweek. The shed
will be open from 5pm on Tuesday evening by myself and on Wednesday evening
by Alex. Alex (and Adam) will be racing on Wednesday night so won't have
the time to sort any new people out, whereas I will have time on Tuesday.
*2. Australian University Sailing Association Fleet Racing Regatta, Royal
Prince Alfred Yacht Club, Sydney, 13-15 April*
Join the ANU Sailing Team training squad group for this major national
student sailing event (NB: this is open to alumni). We are the current team
champions and it would be good to get a team together for 2012 to keep
the trophy in Canberra. Contact me or Andrew, our secretary, if you're
interested. The organiser Ajay Rau says: "The NOR is now available for the
first University sailing event of the year the 2012 Australian University
fleet racing championships at the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club , email me
at rauajay at gmail.com if you want to have a look at the Notice of Race. Its
an official sanctioned Yachting Australia and Australian University sport
event and it is the most enjoyable Uni regatta during semester 1."
*3. Laser Coaching Clinics with the NSW/ACT Laser Association*
These are being held at various sailing clubs in Sydney over the coming
month. You need to be a member of the Association ($45/year) and the cost
is $50/day. Click here for more information:

<http://www.laser.asn.au/training.php> Contact
Adam if you would like to reserve a boat for this. NB the last weekend
coincides with the coast trip, so boats will be limited.
*4. Honeymoon Bay Coast Trip 31 March-1 April*
Sign-ups have now closed for this event.
*5. Bateman's Bay Regatta*
This is the traditional end-of-season regatta for the Canberra, NSW south-coast
district. For more information: http://bbsc.org.au/anzac_regatta_2012
*6. AGM and the New Committee*
Thanks for everyone who turned up to AGM on Saturday night. The new sailing
club committee consists of:
1. Nick Scroxton: Commodore
2. Adam Leavesley: Captain of boats
3. Krystina Cerna: Secretary
4. Etienne Mergues: Treasurer
5. Alex Minovich: Race Secretary
6. Mal Cumpston: Assistant Secretary
7. Vince Cheng: Publicity Officer
8. Werner Koch: Social Secretary
9. Eva Papp: Clubhouse Officer
10. Jennie Mallela: Powerboat Officer
11. Tom Meumann: Training Officer
12. Windsurf Office: Shaun Yeoh
13. Glen Seely: Sharpie Captain
Congratulations to the new committee, and many thanks for the outgoing
committee. And thank-you for giving me the opportunity to be Commodore of
this club.
It is still possible to elect non-constitution committee posts, so if you
still fancy a position on the committee then let me know. In particular
we're still looking for an Assistant Captain of Boats and an Assistant
Training Officer.
*7. Time to renew your Membership*
The club audit is coming up, so we want to make sure everyone is signed up.

*8. Club polo shirts*
The new club polo shirts have arrived and they look great - but they won't
be around forever. Email me back if you would like one.
That's all for now,
Nick Scroxton
