Ahoy there ANUSC sailors,
The new season is almost upon us and the club has been lucky enough to convince a local Sharpie skipper (and club member), Glen Seeley to give us a hand with training up crews to race the clubs two boats.
Sharpies were an Olympic class in 1956 (Melbourne Olympics) and really fly when the breeze gets up. The local association sails on LBG on Saturday's, has a great program of state title races and a new sponsor, so there's lots happening this year.

Sharpies are challenging to sail being long and skinny with a big mainsheet and spinnaker. To maximise performance requires lots of tweeking of the settings and excellent crew coordination. Three crew are needed for each boat - skipper, sheet hand and for'ard hand.
Crew members will need some experience. Glen has asked for people who are capable of sailing a laser on LBG when there are whitecaps.
If you can meet this basic level and want to get involved with the club's flagship class for the 2012-13 season then contact Glen asap to get your season underway.
