[ANU Sailing Club] this weekend and coming events

Hi everyone,

*Saturday, 12.30 *
I'll open the shed on Saturday from 12.30 and then I'll go to race with
YMCA. If someone needs a shed induction or something else please notify me
in advance because I'll be off to the start at 13.20.
Experienced sailors who recently joined the club and had previous racing
experience can join the race (YMCA usually allows 1-2 trial races without
Yachting Australia membership but to continue racing with them you need to
join YA which they offer for our student members for around $50 per
season). Race entry fee is $15 per boat, you need to come in advance to
register your boat, you need to know sail number and boat name. The race
start at 14.00.

Another our favourite event because of a nice atmosphere, flat water
sailing combined with ocean breeze, and the level of competition probably
best matched with the level of our club. For the last two years we were
bringing at least two trophies each time from there. YA membership is
welcomed but not critical.  I'd ask you to notify me in advance if you are
going to participate in the trip such that we can allocate boats and cars.

*22-24th of March, Big Weekend Out together with ANU Mountaineering Club at
Jervis Bay. *

This is the ANU Mountaineering Club's major coast weekend for the year, and
will incorporate the following activities:

- sailing
- sea kayaking, climbing, coasteering.

At the end trip arrangement will go through ANUMC but I need to know if we
have enough people at all to arrange the boats, thus if you're interested

*Australian University Fleet Race. Illawarra Sailing Club.*
It really would be a shame if we miss that.
The Australian University Sailing Association bring to you the Australian
University Fleet Racing Regatta 2013!!!
So get excited, we have an awesome regatta coming up. It will be done on
yardstick so all boats are welcome. Its going to be a huge event so invite
all of your friends to this event and help get the word out. We are in the
process of trying to organise accommodation nearby so the boat races dont
need to stop!
