Hello everybody,

My name is Jules and I am the Sharpie sailing officer. I am sending out an
email looking for people interested in sailing sharpies. Sharpies are a
three man boat, one person on a wire who's job is to stand on the side of
the boat and act as a counter balance, one person's job is only the main
sheet and in strong winds that means keeping the boat flat and also there
is the skipper who only looks after the tiller. Sharpies are lots of fun to
sail and the intention is to get out on the water on Saturdays to compete
in the YMCA races.

If you are sceptical of the competitiveness don't be, it's just a bunch of
people sailing their boats around the lake, very social atmosphere.

If you are interested in Sharpie sailing please email me back. I am looking
to set up some sort of roster so that if you can't commit to sailing once a
week that's fine we just rotate through 2 or 3 weeks.

If you have any questions feel free to ask otherwise email back your
interest along with your sailing experience. Please note that a small
amount of experience is necessary, i.e having completed the beginners
course is a good place to start however it isn't essential to have any more
than that.

Cheers,

Jules Kirk
