Hi everyone,
I just want to ask those who take racing lasers out to be more responsible
when using them.
1. If you do not know how to rig up and unrig the turbo kit, please, stick
to general use boats till someone experienced will train you for it.
2. Do not swap gear (spars, foils) from one racing boat to another, or if
you did so return everything back on the same day. Two of the racing lasers
(Race 1 and Race 2) are regularly used in Saturday races (which are in
contrast to Twilights are official races with member and entry fees), and
it is pretty disappointing to spend extra time every week to bring the
boats back to the racing condition because of someone's irresponsibility.
If you take the two boats for twilights please do not do small adjustments
like the change of hiking strap tension or return everything back to the
previous settings onshore.
3. After you unrig the turbo kit, attach all the blocks back by the ropes.
Within just 10 days two of the blocks were lost because someone undid every
knot on the rigging and didn't bother to fix the blocks back. You need to
detach only clew shackle for the outhaul, and only the block tied to a
small downhaul rope. Attach the downhaul block back to the same rope once
you take the rope out of the sail eye.
4. I do not recommend to use Race Infinity - our best racing boat in
Twilights where most of the people do not know the right of way or cannot
react fast enough to avoid collision. Race Infinity rig is stored inside
the tool shed because of this reason, but someone put bits of gear from
Race Monkey on it and rigged it very incorrect and incomplete, so whoever
did it please *take it off and return it back on Race Monkey*.
5. If something is wrong with Race 1 and Race 2 please notify us (me,
Wendy, Antonio) even by posting a message on the facebook before Saturday,
such that we could come earlier to fix it before the race start.

Alex Minovich.
