Acting Executive Officer (EO), Fenner School

I'd like to inform you of some modifications to the arrangements for 
the Acting Executive Officer position at the Fenner School.  The 
present Acting EO, Sharon McInnes, is unable to attend work for 
extended periods of time. To support Sharon, and to ensure that the 
EO functions of the Fenner School are carried out in a timely manner, 
Roz Smith has kindly agreed to undertake the Acting EO duties during 
periods when Sharon is not here. The appropriate delegations have 
been made to formalise this arrangement.

In the longer term, we are working towards a role statement and 
advertisement for the Executive Officer position, emphasising the 
importance of external relations for the future of the Fenner 
School.  These documents will need to go through the College of 
Science Staffing Committee for approval. We are working to streamline 
the process as much as possible, but I cannot yet give a timeframe 
for the appointment of a new EO for the Fenner School.
