Welcome to the Australian-linguistics listThe Australian-linguistics List was established by the Australian National University to provide a world-wide communications vehicle and a central electronic archive for anyone working on, or interested in the study of indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and Islander) languages, including contemporary creoles and Aboriginal and Islander English dialects.The List was established on the 27 October 1994 on the joint initiative of Dr T. Matthew Ciolek and Dr Ian Green originally operating as australian-linguistics-l on coombs.anu.edu.au server. The list was moved to the mailman.anu.edu.au server in August 2010. Management of the list was taken over by the AIATSIS Centre for Australian Languages (ACAL) in September 2010.
