Dear AQUAlist subscribers
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Steve Juggins (University Newcastle, UK)
has agreed to present his course "Analysis of Environmental Data" in Adelaide,
Jan 29 - Feb 9, 2007.
The topics covered during the course will include data management, regression,
linear and logistic models, PCA, MDS, CCA, clustering and classification and
palaeoecological transfer functions. Participants will become familiar with a
range of software packages through the course, with most emphasis on 'R'.
Researchers will be encouraged to bring their own data sets to work with
through the practical sessions.
Logistics are still being finalised however we anticipate a course fee of ~
$800 for the two weeks tuition (accommodation extra). Expressions of interest
