Greetings,

This is the first session call for the upcoming AQUA biannual meeting in Auckland 5-9 December 2016.

Oral presentations of research and posters will be to options for attendees to consider when submitting an abstract.

The sessions will help us to organise presentations across a wide range of sub-disciplines in the Quaternary sciences,

thereby enabling larger themes to be organised for the presentations of research.

Some ideas are:

    palaeoclimate

    palaeoceanography

    geomorphology and landscape studies

    archaeology

    volcanology and tephra

    geochronology

regional foci (eg Tasmania, south Pacific, Southern New Zealand)

driver foci (eg Glaciation, climate variability [ENSO/SAM/Westerlies/monsoon etc])

Session overviews should be crafted to be as widely inclusive as possible.

For those interested in promoting and chairing a session, please send the following details:

Session title:

Session convenors:

Session overview:

Does this session align to a funded project? (eg Marsden, MBIE, ARC, INQUA or PAGES)

If those interested could kindly return this information to me by 1 July, it would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

Drew (on behalf of the local organising committee)
