Further to my previous posting, here is some additional, supplementary (or
background) information.

The contact person's name I gave you was Badr J. Gedeon, who is also
President of the Lebanese Speleological Society - ALES (Association
Libanaise d'Etudes Speleologiques) - and has a telephone contact: +961 3 666
469.    This caving organisation (ALES) has its own email address:
ales at alesliban.org and its own website about the organisation itself and
caves in Lebanon: www.alesliban.org

Another Lebanese caver/ anthropologist is Ghada Salem - she also attended
the international conference in Brasilia.   Her email address is:

I would suggest that emails are sent to both Badr and Ghada - and as
mentioned before, I would appreciate receiving a Cc of your mail & if you
could mention that your knowledge of them & their need came from my contacct
with them at the international caving congress in Brasilia.
