The 2nd International Past Grasslands Research Conference
(PGR 2002)
The 2nd International Past Grasslands Research Conference (PGR 2002) will
be held from June 13th -16th, 2002 in St. Cloud, MN, USA. The goal is to
assemble a diverse body of researchers interested in any aspect of history,
evolution and modelling of grasslands world-wide (e.g. isotope
geochemistry, paleoclimatology, paleoecology, palaeontology). Appropriate
field trips and thematic sessions will be organized.
If you would like to give a talk, present a poster, organize a field trip
or chair an organized session, please forward your contact information

A circular describing registration details will be made available
electronically at a later date. St. Cloud, MN (metro area population
~100,000) is home to the second largest university in Minnesota and is
located at the prairie-forest ecotone near the geographical center of the
state on the banks of the mighty Mississippi. A few restored and/or native
tall grass prairie sites and abundant glacial landforms are found in close
proximity to the city. St. Cloud is 1.5 hours away from Minneapolis-St.
Paul International airport with easy connection by air, shuttle, or rental
car.
