The University College consists of 12 Schools which form a campus of the 
University of New South Wales.  Located at the Australian Defence Force 
Academy, Canberra, Australia,  the University College provides 
undergraduate courses to officer cadets and midshipmen as well as 
postgraduate courses to civilian and defence personnel.   Staff enjoy 
pleasant surroundings and have access to various facilities including the 
Academy Gymnasium and free parking.  A generous superannuation scheme is 
also offered.


Lecturer in Remote Sensing/Physical Geography
School of Geography and Oceanography  Level B

Salary :   $52,173 to $61,957 per annum

The School has an outstanding research profile in the areas of physical and 
human geography and physical oceanography with excellent facilities to 
support research and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate 
levels.  Emphasis will be given to applications with remote sensing in the 
study of physical geography and may include human geography and the 
oceans.    The successful applicant will undertake an active research 
program in an area relevant to the School and will endeavour to attract 
external research funding and postgraduate research students.   Essential 
is a higher degree in physical geography or a closely related field.    A 
knowledge and understanding of EEO/AA & OH&S principles and practices are 
essential.
