Hello all:
I am sending this message to all 317 persons who attended AIG-3
in Orleans, France and/or AIG-4 in Monterey, California and/or the
Seventh Australasian Conference on Isotopes in the Environment in
Robertson, NSW, Australia. I have also included the addresses of
some people who have expressed interest in previous conferences
but were were unable to attend.
As those who were fortunate enough to attend AIG-4 in Monterey
will know, Blair Hostetler, Andrew Herczeg, Judith Batts and I
were "volunteered" to organise the next meeting. Since then we
have enlarged our organising committee and planning is now well
under way.
The purpose of this brief message is to let you know that the next
meeting will be held on Heron Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia
from Monday 26 May to Friday 30 May, 2003.
We aim to keep the registration and accommodation costs to less
than about US$750. Blair Hostetler has taken on the role of
organising a field trip after the conference which will take in some
of the more interesting parts of Australia. The costs of this optional
field trip will clearly be additional to that for registration and
accommodation. We felt that this brief announcement might be
beneficial in planning and budgeting for travel, which always seems
to have to be done so far in advance.
We are in the process of putting together a Home Page which will
contain lots of necessary information. In my next general message
I will give you its address. In the mean time, if you know of
anybody who would like to be put on the mailing list could you
please let me know. An E-mail address, if possible, is clearly the
most convenient for me.
Thank you
Barry Batts
