This appointment offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fellow in Physical Geography to join the Geographical Sciences Program for a period of 16 - 18 weeks (July - Dec 2005).
The School of Geography, Planning and Architecture (SGPA) is a vibrant multidisciplinary School with extensive teaching and research programs covering the fields of Geography, Environmental Management, Planning and Development, Property Studies, Project Management and Architecture.
The School is seeking to strengthen its research portfolio and international collaborative links through a Visiting Fellowship in Physical Geography. The Fellowship seeks to emphasise application related research via links to allied programs within the School, especially in the fields of Planning and Environmental Management.

The Visiting Fellow will be required to actively participate in the daily activities of the School and wider University community through established and emerging research and teaching programs; School seminar series and through contribution to teaching of a second year Physical Geography course. Opportunities also exist for the Fellow to participate in field programmes offered in Geographical Sciences and Planning (GSP).
The successful candidate will possess a PhD with an established research and teaching track record in Physical Geography, specifically Climatology and Geomorphology or a related discipline that complements existing strengths in GSP. The candidate will have an established international publication record in high-ranking referred journals and a strong track record in research and teaching.
This is a visiting fellow appointment of 16 - 18 weeks duration (July - Dec 2005). An attractive stipend is available depending on level of seniority and length of visit.
