Hi Everyone,
I might be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs but here goes. Just
recently a group of us were returning from fieldwork on the Atherton
Tablelands. We had a shed loads of cores (we later found out they were
160kg) to freight back from Cairns to Wollongong. DHL quoted us $1200
for 100kg! Instead we took the cores to Virgin Blue who we were flying
with and it worked out at just over $400 as freight. What a bargain!
Even with the cost of the flights it was cheaper than driving (and it
saved us around 3 days). Thought it might be of interest!
Your caring colleague,
Chris
