[Aqualist] ARC Linkage Industry PhD Scholarship

Dear All,

We are looking for a recent Honours or MSc graduate with a background in fluvial geomorphology/sedimentology or Quaternary studies to take up an ARC Linkage Project scholarship. The project is in partnership with the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA), which manages the storage and supply of water in the Sydney metropolitan area. The research will investigate the flood history of the Sydney Basin over the last 1000 years using floodplain deposits along the Nepean-Hawkesbury River system. The student will be based at the University of Newcastle and will receive an APAI award of $24,650 p.a. for 3.5 years. This scholarship is available now. An Honours 1 or 2(I) or equivalent is essential.
