Apologies for cross posting. Please bring to the attention of honours
and masters graduates seeking further research experience.

We are looking for a recent Honours or MSc graduate with a background
in palaeolimnology or Quaternary studies to take up a PhD
scholarship. The project will investigate the history of the
eutrophication of eastern Australian estuaries using
palaeolimnological techniques. The student will be based in the
School of Environmental Science and Management at Southern Cross
University and will receive an SCU award of $20,000 p.a. for 3.5
years. Funding is available for relocation and project costs. This
scholarship is available now. An Honours 1 or 2(I) or equivalent is
highly desirable.

Please direct enquiries to: kathryn.taffs at scu.edu.au Applications
should include a covering letter detailing relevant
experience/interest, and a CV outlining academic
record and two referees. Applications should be submitted to Dr Taffs no
later than 30 January 2006.

Cheers,
Kathryn Taffs
