A position is available in the luminescence lab at ANU (Research 
School of Earth Sciences). Details are advertised on the ANU's

sciences, chemistry, physics.

Summary as follows:

The Research School of Earth Sciences is seeking an enthusiastic 
Technical Officer to collaborate in scientific activities with 
research staff in the Luminescence Dating Laboratory.

The Technical Officer will assist with the geochronological technique 
of luminescence dating, which can be applied to address questions 
relating to environmental change and archaeology. You will be 
responsible for management of consistent sample throughout and the 
safe use of laboratories by students and visitors. Strict adherence 
to established and OHS-approved protocols is required. An active 
involvement and interest in research projects is encouraged.

Training will be provided, although some prior experience in general 
chemical laboratory work is essential. Previous experience with 
luminescence (OSL/TL) dating, the use of irradiation facilities and 
gamma spectrometers, and geological field work, is desirable.
