Dear fellow Quaternarists,

You will by now have received the July 2008 issue of Quaternary
Australasia, an issue which highlights the diverse work being
undertaken by early career researchers within AQUA. I hope this fuels
your enthusiasm for the Australasian Quaternary community, and I
would like to solicit contributions for the upcoming December issue.
These can include peer-reviewed research papers, reports, interviews,
and thesis abstracts. Quaternary Australasia has in the past provided
an excellent forum for students in particular to have their work
published. QA is suitable for a paper of national or local importance
that may not be suitable for an international audience. Papers
published in QA are fully peer-reviewed and count as publications for
the purposes of the ARC. It is an ideal place to publish a paper
quickly to improve your track record for an ARC or job application.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would be interested in
contributing, or if you know of any students (including recently
completed Honours students) who may not be aware of QA and could be
encouraged to submit their work. Likewise, if anyone would like to
publicise any of their recently published papers or books, please let me know.

Thanks,
Kat Fitzsimmons.
