We seek a leading physical geographer who will advance the research and
learning objectives of the School. Currently Physical Geography has
established strengths in two interrelated areas: (1) contemporary earth
surface processes and (2) climate and environmental change, past,
present and future. 

The successful candidate is therefore expected to have a research
programme that will complement and expand one or both of these areas. In
addition a full contribution to teaching at graduate and undergraduate
levels in Physical Geography is expected, with the candidate building
and leading a globally recognised group of researchers in their
respective field. Proven experience of academic leadership, publication
and competitive funding success is expected.
