Dear AQUA people,
I apologise for any cross postings in advance, however, we want to make
sure any palaeoclimatologists / micropalaeontologists (particularly
students) from the marine realm are aware of a special session at the
AMSA meeting in Wollongong this July.
The 2010 Australian Marine Sciences Association's Annual conference will
take place in Wollongong from July 4-8th.
Martina Doblin and I are convening a special symposium on "Breaking
frontiers in phytoplankton research". This symposium will focus on the
contemporary and emerging issues in microalgal research, encompassing
disciplines such as physiology, biotechnology, ecology, biogeography,
climate science and oceanography.
If you are interested in participating in this symposium would you
please get in touch with us -- many thanks! We'd also appreciate you
forwarding this message to colleagues, collaborators and students
working in this area.
The deadline for the submission of abstracts is April 30th. Registration
and abstract submission details can be found on the official conference
web site:

Looking forward to seeing you there!
Regards
Leanne and Martina
