AQUA Travel Prize 2010

The AQUA committee calls for applications for travel assistance for PhD students and Early Career researchers (3 years since completion) for the AQUA Travel Prize to attend the International Union for Quaternary Research (INQUA) 2011 International Congress in Bern, Switzerland (http://www.inqua2011.ch/).

The travel prize is for AU$3000 and is to be used to cover costs directly related to attending the congress.

Applicants are required to send an Abstract, identifying the session to which the abstract has been submitted to, to the AQUA secretary Craig Woodward (Secretary at aqua.org.au<mailto:Secretary at aqua.org.au>) by the 30th November (Note: this is also the deadline for the submission of abstracts to the INQUA Congress). The prize will be awarded on the scientific merits of the work described in the abstract, and its fit within the session proposed, as judged by the executive of AQUA.

The conditions of the award are that the recipient must be accepted to present a paper at the Congress, receipts for all travel and Congress-related costs be provided to the AQUA secretary, and a Congress reported be submitted to Quaternary Australasia.
