Australian Laureate Fellow Professor Chris Turney invites applications from talented prospective PhD students to carry out research on one of two projects. One project focuses on building a  high-resolution reconstruction of environmental and climate change in tropical Australia over the past 2000 years. The second project will work on  multi-millennial sub-annually resolved records of abrupt climate change contained within ancient New Zealand kauri.  The successful applicants will be awarded a tax free scholarship valued at $35,000 per annum. Deadline for applications is 14 July 2011.
