Lecturer - Terrestrial Earth-Surface Processes
* Continuing Full Time Appointment
The School of Earth & Environmental Sciences is one of Australia's leading academic units with research and teaching strengths across human and physical geography, geology, environmental and archaeological sciences.
We are seeking an innovative and energetic person to teach terrestrial Earth-surface processes, fluvial geomorphology/hydrology and related topics within the physical geography and geology programs. Candidates with research expertise in quantitative techniques that enhance the understanding of terrestrial Earth-surface processes are encouraged to apply (e.g. landscape evolution or long-term climate change modelling, cosmogenic dating, fission-track dating or other methods which complement the existing geochronological, geochemical or geospatial strengths within the School).
To be successful in this role you will possess a PhD in a relevant field; demonstrated research excellence and ability to obtain competitive research funding. In addition demonstrated capacity for innovative and high quality teaching; ability to foster and supervise postgraduate research; excellent communication and teamwork skills; willingness and ability to contribute to administration; demonstrated ability to apply OH&S and EEO principles to the academic environment.
