Dear all,
With the deadline fast approaching for the INQUA congress we encourage you to consider submitting an abstract to the session:
Advances in understanding the last glaciation maximum (LGM) in the Southern Hemisphere (PALCOMM - P07)
Around the world, significant regional environmental variability has been observed during the broadly defined (28-17 ka) global Last Glaciation Maximum (LGM). Recent work through a variety of INQUA projects including INTIMATE and SHAPE have focussed considerable attention on Southern Hemisphere palaeoclimates during this key interval. New results are being obtained that are allowing us to study the nature and timing of this variability within the LGM at intra- and interhemispheric scales. This session welcomes submissions that provide new proxy data on LGM climates or environments as well as climatic reconstructions and modelling results for the LGM in Southern Hemisphere regions. We also welcome papers on interhemispheric climate teleconnections around the time of the LGM.
Look forward to seeing you in Nagoya,
