Dear Quaternarists,
You are undoubtedly already aware that QA is published twice a year and includes a range of contributions including reports on recent conferences and workshops, society initiatives, book reviews and thesis abstracts.
We would like to invite you to consider items to the next issue of your society journal and newsletter, Quaternary Australasia, including:
- research articles
- conference and workshop reports
- news items
- book reviews
- society initiatives (e.g. SHAPE, INTIMATE...)
What you may not know is that we also publish fully peer-reviewed articles, and that QA has its own ISSN; all research articles published in QA are considered bona fide papers for the purposes of research output, grant applications, and the like. QA is suitable for submitting short articles of regional scope which would be of interest to the Australasian Quaternary community. Peer review and publication is relatively rapid (generally within six months), and it is an ideal medium for early papers by students and ECRs.
Please get in touch with us if you would like to submit any of the items above. The deadline for these items, for publication in the July issue, is March 30.
We would also like to invite colleagues to update us on their recent publications, to include in the December issue of Quaternary Australasia. If you have any recently published articles that may be of interest to the community, could you please forward them to us by no later than 30 April.
We also welcome any recently completed thesis abstracts (Honours, Masters and PhD). If you have any students who recently finished, please encourage them to submit their abstracts to us.
Future correspondence relating to Quaternary Australasia should therefore be directed to the following addresses:

Yours quaternarily,
Kat Fitzsimmons and Pia Atahan
Co-Editors - Quaternary Australasia
