Registration is now open for the upcoming 3rd workshop of the PAGES Australasia 2k Working Group, to be held in Melbourne on 26-27 June 2014:

This will be a joint meeting with the Australian Climate Change Science Program project Variability of Australian climate over the last 1000 years in coupled model simulations and proxy data.

The aim of the workshop is to identify progress, challenges and opportunities related to reconstructing climate variability in Australasia over the last 2000 years.

The workshop will include invited presentations and discussions on the themes of:

1. Developing a database of Australasian palaeoclimate data: existing records and future data collection

2. Multi-archive data syntheses

3. Climate field reconstructions and;

4. Climate model–palaeoclimate data integration in Australasia and the broader Southern Hemisphere region


Workshop participants are encouraged to present posters on any of these themes or related topics.
