Good morning,

We have had a few wonderful entries so far, for a design to grace our AQUA t shirts at the upcoming INQUA congress in Dublin. However, it has also been an extremely busy month for many of us, so we have decided to extend the submission deadline to the end of March, giving you plenty of time in case you would like to throw your hat in the ring.

So if you have a vague design idea in mind then you have plenty of time to scrub it up and send it through! Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Regards,

Georgy (AQUA Treasurer)

Good morning Quaternarists,

I am sure that many of you are excited that INQUA year has rolled around again! And in light of the upcoming meeting in Ireland, the AQUA committee are delighted to announce the opening of this year’s Design-an-AQUA-tee competition.

The aim here is to have the AQUA contingent at INQUA looking schmick in Dublin, but most importantly to foster a sense of community. This will hopefully also help any first-time INQUA attendees, students, and early-career researchers to identify friendly AQUA faces.

So we are looking for a sweet design to be printed on the tee. The design can be inspired by any aspect of Quaternary science, so use your imaginations!

Please send your entries in a format of your choice (Illustrator, PDF, jpeg, photo of a scribble on a serviette etc.) to georgina.falster at adelaide.edu.au<mailto:georgina.falster at adelaide.edu.au> by January 28th (the same day that the AQUA travel award applications are due). An impartial panel will vote for the winning design. Also please do let me know if you have a rad idea but it’s taking a bit of time to get together – I know this is a busy time of year so the submission date can be a bit flexible.

The winner will receive a free tee, but more importantly a glowing sense of achievement as they see their design running amuck in the streets of Dublin.

After the design has been chosen we will announce the winner, and start arranging the tees for those of you who would like one.

Rgds,

Georgy (AQUA Treasurer and keen-but-utterly-untalented artist)
