Dear colleagues,

The organization https://www.mothersinscience.com is currently running a survey on parenting and careers in STEMM. This is the first international study to address the career obstacles and inequalities faced by parents in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine), and which have been recently magnified by the coronavirus pandemic- especially for mothers. We're conducting this research project in collaboration with Washington University in St Louis, 500 Women Scientists, INWES, Parent in Science, and Femmes & Sciences.

Please encourage colleagues to take the survey using this link:
www.mothersinscience.com/survey<http://www.mothersinscience.com/survey>
We would also appreciate if you could spread the word via your institution's social media platforms and directly to your contacts in other STEMM institutions, including outside academia.

The survey results are fundamental to *raise awareness* of the barriers hindering the career advancement of parents in STEMM, and to *create long-term solutions* for increasing the retention of women in STEMM fields.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and I thank you in advance for your support.

Best wishes,

Isabel
