[Aqualist] Fire awards: travel and best PhD

Hi People,

The journal Fire has several awards that might be of interest, including a 2023 Travel Award for post-docs or PhD students (application deadline: 31 March 2023) and the 2023 Best PhD Thesis Award (deadline: 30 September 2023)…

The requirements for candidate participation and application materials are described at https://www.mdpi.com/journal/fire/awards (that link probably won’t work on Aqua list so google “fire journal awards”).

(An Australian, Daniel May (ANU) won the best PhD in 2021 for Taking Fire: The Historical and Contemporary Politics of Indigenous Burning in Australia and the Western United States… it would be nice to keep our flag flying high!)
