Hi AQUA folks,
Just sharing some information about the PAGES Open Science Meeting next year that might be of interest to some of you...
-----
The PAGES (Past Global Changes) Open Science Meeting (OSM) will be taking place from 21–24 May 2025 in Shanghai, China.
The OSM is a PAGES flagship event held approximately every four years and is a much-anticipated fixture on the paleoscience calendar. The 7th OSM will focus on “Earth System Changes from the Past towards the Future” and is proud to announce 31 sessions covering a broad range of topics that will appeal to scientists and researchers focused on various spheres of changes in the key components of the Earth's surface system (air, water, ice, land, life, society, etc.) across timescales. The ultimate goal is the improvement of predictions for future climate and environment. There is also an impressive lineup of keynote and plenary speakers, as well as a range of fascinating field trips in and around Shanghai, and China. Abstract submissions are open and will close on 1 December.
Just before the OSM, the Young Scientists Meeting (YSM) will take place over 2 days from 19-20 May 2025 in Shanghai. This event aims to support the development of young paleoscientists (early-career researchers; ECRs) by providing the opportunity to advance their scientific skills and to build international networks among colleagues at a similar career level, as well as with leading senior scientists. Applications are open to attend the YSM and close on 1 December. Please encourage the ECRs you know to consider sending in applications. There is funding available.
More information about both the OSM and YSM can be found online here: https://www.pages2025.org.cn<https://www.pages2025.org.cn>
