SHAPING GROUNDS
INSTITUTE OF AUSTRALIAN GEOGRAPHERS' CONFERENCE 2002
9-12 JULY, CANBERRA
CALL FOR PAPERS
The IAG conference in 2002 will be held at the Australian National
University, Canberra.
Conference theme: SHAPING GROUNDS
SHAPING as in: creating, fashioning, forming/directing the course
of/developing from vagueness or confusion into something
coherent/assuming a shape or form
GROUNDS as in: the surface of the earth or part of it/elements or
rudiments of any study/the position maintained or defended by one/a
region, land or country
Papers are invited for inclusion in general and thematic sessions. The
conference organizers would like to encourage lively interchange
between all branches of geography. Interest has been expressed in
thematic panel or paper sessions that bring together geographers with
different research interests. See the list of proposed sessions
below. Suggestions for other thematic sessions are welcomed.
ABSTRACTS: Paper titles and abstracts due by March 15, 2002.
Please send abstracts via e-mail to iag2002 at anu.edu.au in the
following format:
Presenter's name(s) and affiliation
Paper title
Body of abstract - no more than 200 words, Times New Roman 5 pitch, 12
point font, single spaced
