China and ASEAN countries recently agreed to work towards the
establishment of a 10+1 Free Trade Agreement within a ten year period.
What underlying principles and commercial priorities will shape this
agreement? How will the 10+1 agreement relate to the cooperative 10+3
framework including Japan and Korea?

Mr Chen is Deputy Director of the Chinese Academy of International
Trade and Economic Cooperation and has been closely involved in
developing China's approach to this agreement. Professor Christopher
Findlay and Ms Jane Drake Brockman from the Asia Pacific School of
Economics and Management are undertaking collaborative research with
CAITEC on China's overall approach to regional economic cooperation.
