>Associate Professor at the Dept. of Peace and 
>Conflict Research, Uppsala University, Sweden, 
>and former Head of Department. From 1997-2003 he 
>was involved in a number of initiatives in/on 
>East Timor, including facilitating several 
>post-September 1999 dialogues between the main 
>political groups/actors in East Timor at the 
>time.  While specialising in conflict 
>resolution, he is currently writing on 
>'reconciliation' as a political concept, and 
>over the past two years has been involved as a 
>consultant to the Swedish Government on 
>demobilization (of paramilitaries) and reconciliation issues in Colombia.
