CDG Research Bursaries Round II: APPLY NOW!

Can you contribute to building understanding of the role of governance in
climate change adaptation and reducing risk to disasters?

The CDG Programme offers research bursaries of up to US$1,000 to developing
country researchers.

The bursaries support research into how different governance arrangements at
the national and local level can best reduce risks from climate related
disasters.

We invite innovative proposals that challenge conventional thinking on how
climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction can be supported.

The proposed research should relate to one of the four CDG research
themes:
* Citizen engagement and accountability
* Implications of international policy frameworks
* The role of social protection
* Institution building in fragile states Cross-cutting topics will also be
considered.

Currently CDG is supporting research into governance of diverse issues
including land reform management, DRR mainstreaming in local government,
environmentally-induced migration responses, support for cyclone prone
communities, and strengthening citizen participation.
