1st Conference of TLSA - Brazilian Chapter

Schisms, continuities and new syntheses in Timor-Leste

Since the restoration of Timor-Leste's independence, local populations have
been the object of numerous governance projects that affect practices of
social reproduction in different ways. These processes have been imposed
upon longstanding sociopolitical formations. As a product of these
interactions, new ruptures, continuities and syntheses are configured.

The first conference of the Timor-Leste Studies Association's Brazilian
chapter invites scholars, undergraduate and post-graduate students,
academic and non-academic researchers to submit proposals for papers which
address how disruptions, continuities and new syntheses have been
negotiated in Timor-Leste, from multiple disciplinary perspectives.

This is a multidisciplinary conference, open to all areas of inquiry.
