With the support of the Henry Luce Foundation <https://www.hluce.org/> the TLSI is hosting a series of public seminars between August 2021 and March 2022. Three public seminars – either online or in-person in Dili, Timor-Leste – will explore the following topics 1) Policing and Human Security in Timor-Leste, 2) Timor-Leste Foreign Policy: China, ASEAN and the question of regional economic integration post COVID-19; and 3) East Timorese Identity: A work in progress.
The first Public Seminar is scheduled for 23rd August 2021, 5PM to 8PM (Dili, Timor-Leste) and will be held online.
Panelists include Superintendent Chief of Police, Arquimino Ramos, Former Secretary of State for Security, Francisco Guterres, Director Fundasaun Mahein, João Almeida, Director AJAR, José Luis Oliviera, Lecturer UNTL, Li-Li Chen. Moderator: President of the National Press Council, Virgilio Guterres
