[TimorLesteStudies] Timorese still living in Indonesia: Sources on numbers?

I am looking for leads on any substantive sources on the numbers of
Timorese who remained in Indonesia after the very large movements in the
immediate aftermath of the 1999 ballot.

I am aware of UN High Commission on Refugees reports in the early 2000's
suggesting that of the ~270,000 in West Timor, that some ~190,000 had
returned voluntarily to Timor-Leste by the end of 2001.

I guess these numbers will be complicated by births and deaths
among that population over the past 20+ years. But I wondered, for example,
whether Indonesian official census data recorded numbers and origins of
people who were born outside Indonesia.

Grateful for pointers to reasonably authoritative documentary sources or
knowledgeable people.
