Dear colleagues,
On 12 October 2026, at 11:30 am (CET), our international conference<https://peace.uni-graz.at/de/neuigkeiten/conference-on-after-pax-americana-pluriverse-or-multipolar-world-order-decolonial-and-local-perspectives-on-peace-security-displacement-and-global-governance/> "After Pax Americana – Decolonial and Local Perspectives" will begin in a hybrid format, taking place live at the University of Graz (REWI, Seminar Room SZ 15.21, Building A) and streamed online via YouTube<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V92KSLz-77g>.

The conference is jointly organized by partner universities from Senegal, Lebanon, Pakistan, and the University of Graz. Bringing together distinguished scholars from the Global South (see attached) and beyond, the conference aims to foster critical dialogue on the transformations of the international order, decolonial perspectives, and locally grounded approaches to peace, security, and global governance. Our collaboration will not end with the conference.

We are planning to publish an edited volume (anthology) based on the conference theme (Brill Publisher) and warmly invite interested scholars to contribute. We would be delighted to welcome you to the conference. If you would like to participate or are interested in contributing a chapter to the planned book project, please contact us me: josef.muehlbauer at uni-graz.at<mailto:josef.muehlbauer at uni-graz.at>.

We look forward to your participation.
Best regards,
Josef
