The *Macquarie Journal of International and Comparative Environmental
Law *(MqJICEL)
is published by the Macquarie University School of Law. It is a specialist
journal providing a forum for scholarly dialogue concerning both global and
regional environmental issues.
The Editors invite submission of articles for Volume 8 Issue 2, 2012
edition of MqJICEL to be published in December 2012. The Journal welcomes
submissions from academics, researchers, practitioners and students on all
topics relating to legal and governance issues in the field of
international and comparative environmental law. The Editors seek
high-quality, original contributions of law and policy analysis,
including interdisciplinary
and cross-disciplinary scholarship.
The Journal publishes articles, shorter papers, case notes, brief reports
on recent developments and book reviews. Articles should be between *7,000
and 10,000 words *in length. Shorter papers should be between 3,000 and
5,000 words. Case notes, reports on recent developments and book reviews
should be approximately 1,500 words.
*All articles and shorter papers submitted for consideration are subject to
a formal process of peer review by at least two academic referees with
expertise in the relevant field. *The review process may take up to 6
weeks, and Editors will notify authors of the final publication decision as
soon as possible. Case notes and reports on recent developments will not
normally be peer-reviewed.
All manuscripts should be submitted as email attachments to The Editors (
mqjicel at mq.edu.au) in Microsoft Word format only. *Manuscripts must include
an abstract (of approximately 200 words) on a separate page together with a
200 word biography in relation to the author(s)*. The format for
referencing *must** *adhere to the style outlined in the *Australian Guide
to Legal Citation* (AGLC) 3rd Edition.
It will be assumed that submitted manuscripts contain original unpublished
material and are not currently being considered for publication elsewhere.
*The deadline for submissions for the 2012 edition is 31 July 2012.* For
further enquiries and details about the journal see
