I have a friend in the US that wrote a program that is used all over the
world, including most Australian university libraries. It's not unusual to
get emails from him in the middle of 'his' night when he's doing customer
support for people over here.
I reckon this is the perfect place to implement an expert system,
particularly for common problems. FAQs are passe, so there should be
something a bit more applet like.
