But that sentiment simply does not wash with reality. When have you
heard of a government suing a contractor for non-delivery of service
or incomplete/inadequate software (MANY projects come to mind). Rather,
they simply roll over, pay more money and wait for the furtherence of
the train wreck.
As far as suing (or "holding responsible") Mickeysoft or others for crap
software, all I can do is laugh riotously to myself. It ain't never been
done yet, has it? And the onerous EULA clearly states that Microsloth's
liability for major fsckups to your and my life is a grand total of $5.00.
And that has yet to be tested in the courts in any nation on earth.
I am really tired of this "excuse" for buying into proprietary but crap
software. Really tired.
